International partnerships

INSA Toulouse currently has more than 200 foreign partner universities in some 50 countries (interactive map access).

Bilateral Agreements

Since 2006, INSA Toulouse has been a founding member of the Federal University Toulouse Midi-Pyrénées (UFTMiP). As such, INSA Toulouse benefits from the numerous international cooperation agreements signed by UFTMiP.

INSA Toulouse is also a member of the INSA Group, the leading network of public engineering schools in France. Numerous international agreements have been signed under the aegis of the INSA Group.

Bilateral agreements also exist between INSA Toulouse and numerous partner universities in different countries: USA, Vietnam, Brazil, Morocco, Argentina, Canada, for example.

The ERASMUS + Programme

There are more than 130 partnership agreements between INSA Toulouse and partner universities in 21 European countries to enable students to spend a study period of one semester to one year in a foreign institution that is a member of the European Union or an ERASMUS+ partner.

Under the ERASMUS+ programme (https://ec.europa.eu/programmes/erasmus-plus/about_fr), student exchanges take place by speciality and students receive an ERASMUS+ grant for the duration of their stay.

Following the decision of the European Commission, via the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency in … 2020, INSA Toulouse holds the Erasmus University Charter 2021-2026.

ECIU University

INSA Toulouse, via the INSA Group, has been a member of the European Alliance ECIU University since 2019 (www.eciu.org). This European project offers a comprehensive partnership programme between 12 European partner institutions, both in terms of training and in terms of research, innovation and relations with companies and local authorities.

As part of the ECIU mobility programme, INSA students have the opportunity to take part in challenges under the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal No. 11, “Sustainable Cities and Communities”. They respond to these challenges within teams of European learners, which leads them to perform academic mobilities (both physical and virtual) so as to acquire the knowledge and skills bricks offered in the different member universities of the Alliance.

FITEC

Agreements exist between the INSA Group and many universities in Argentina, Brazil and Mexico. These intergovernmental programs (ARFITEC; BRAFITEC; MEXFITEC) allow engineering students to study for one or two semesters, possibly followed by an internship in one of the partner universities of the INSA Group.

It is strongly recommended that you consult the department’s “International Relations” correspondent and the International Relations Office to find out about existing cooperation agreements and the procedures to be followed.
